Last Christmas I had a fantastic holiday with my family but on my return had that dreaded moment when I looked through photos and thought ‘Oh my gosh! How did I manage to get so big?” With my 40th birthday rapidly approaching and a huge birthday bash planned for July in Bali involving a swimsuit, I knew I didn’t want to be ‘fat and forty’ so I decided enough was enough.
My husband and I started Lite n’ Easy at the end of January, ordering the 1200 5 Day Meal Plan for myself and just dinners for my husband so we only had to cook for the kids at night.
I lost just over a kilo a week and after a month I was 5 kilos down and feeling much happier. I stayed on the full meal plan for the first 6 weeks and then we went on a short vacation so I stopped ordering for a week. That’s the great thing, you can stop and start as you need, to suit whatever you have going on in your life.
On my return I got straight back into the Lite n’ Easy dinners and watched what I ate during the day applying the Lite n’ Easy principles. Just 6 months later and I had lost 16 kilos and felt great. For my 40th party in Bali I was confident and everyone commented on how great I looked. I was happy in a swimsuit and could comfortably wear things I hadn’t worn for 10 years!
Now Lite n’ Easy is a way of life for me. The dinners are always in my freezer so I know I have something to eat that is the right size, nutritious and will keep me going. My only regret is I should have found my way to Lite n’ Easy years ago.
