I have been a Lite n’ Easy customer on and off over the years to help me manage my weight as a professional jockey.

In October 2014 I was involved in a freak accident whilst riding track work and sustained a broken tibia and fibula, as well as compartment syndrome, which nearly resulted in me losing my leg. I made the decision to retire from race riding and go back to school. Following the accident and with the long road to recovery, I gained 8.5 kilos! This wasn’t hard to do while being sedentary and making the time pass with an excess amount of food and alcohol.

At the beginning of this year, while on holidays with close friends in Bali, I was shocked when I saw photos of myself and how much weight I had put on. I was extremely uncomfortable, ashamed, and missed out on so many things on that holiday because I felt too “fat”.

I came home from Bali and got back on Lite n’ Easy straight away. I started riding track work in the mornings and cut back on alcohol. Within 4 weeks I was down 4 kilos! The weight seemed to drop off me, while still treating myself to a bit of chocolate here and there.

I am now down almost 7 kilos and although I could probably still lose a bit more, I feel amazing and confident again!

What I love most about Lite n’ Easy is the convenience. As a single woman, it’s nice to not have to worry about cooking for one person and all the calorie counting is done for you! I also love that the program allows you to stop and start without being locked in to any contracts. If I feel like taking a break from deliveries and cooking my own food I can, then jump back on when I need to get my body back in check.
