Priscilla, Queen of Commitment!
Priscilla is a proud stay at home mum who lost 24.5 kilos on Lite n’ Easy and sent in her story with the opening “It’s arsenic hour – Oh I wish I had time for a shower!” We invited her to come along to a Lite n’ Easy photo shoot to be pampered for a day and celebrate her success. Here is her story..
“Prior to being a stay at home Mum, my background was in recruitment and sales. I was on the go and active. When I fell pregnant with our second child I was a healthy weight, I felt fit and energetic, expecting to gain around 15 kilos during the pregnancy.
“But after putting on more than double the recommended pregnancy weight I felt like a beast and so far away from my true self . I didn’t like being in photos or seeing my reflection in the mirror. It was time to take charge and get real.
“Busy looking after a 2 year old and a new baby, I required a program where all my dietary needs were taken care of, without leaving home! I loved the idea that with Lite n’ Easy I could still be available to my family, eat a well balanced and interesting menu and lose weight.
“I knew if I followed the program it would work and I loved the freedon the program gave me. I have always loved walking, so I pounded the pavement every day with the kids in the pram, sometimes for up to an hour. I kept a calendar in my pantry and recorded my weight every Saturday. I followed the program strictly for 7 weeks and lost 7.8 kilos, so I was wrapped!
After Christmas Priscilla renewed her commitment and joined a local fitness centre. After 10 months she had reached her goal and lost an amazing 24.5 kilos.
“I love it when I bump into someone I haven’t seen for a while and they comment. The other day a neighbour told me she didn’t recognise me.
Perhaps the best part is the effect the change in her eating habits will have on her young children. “I do believe our children will have a more positive outlook on exercise and healthy eating, they are great motivators for me.”
