Glen’s road to success
Devoted Dad Glen is from Brisbane and works as a transport planner on major road projects. He and his wife Natasha, who is a part time theatre nurse, both juggle work with raising their two children. Glen lost 12 kilos in 12 weeks and is enjoying more time to exercise and spend with the kids, thanks to Lite n’ Easy…
“Natasha and I had both gotten into some bad habits due to our busy lifestyles combining a family with two demanding careers. We had given into stress eating and snacking on convenient foods. When Natasha was transferred to cardiac nursing she was confronted with the reality of what being overweight can lead to. So we decided to get back on track ourselves and to make sure we were teaching our children good eating habits.
“We started Lite n’ Easy after hearing many great reports about the food and the flexibility of all the options. Even then, we were still surprised at just how good the food was – we never found a dish we didn’t like. We even had Lite n’ Easy dinner parties with other friends who were getting the dinners at the same time!
“For us, Lite n’ Easy takes away the nightly stress of cooking a healthy dinner after a long day at work, and then having to make healthy lunches for the next day. This has given us more time to spend with the children and to get out and exercise.
“We don’t keep scales in the house as we find it a bit too negative to be constantly weighing in. We prefer to focus on body shape and feeling healthy. But I did weigh myself recently and was happy to find I had lost 12 kilos, just with eating Lite n’ Easy and introducing exercise back into my routine 3-4 times per week.
“Natasha and I both learnt a lot from the Lite n’ Easy meal plans and this gave us great ideas for snacks and healthier meals that we now use. Even now we still continue to go back to Lite n’ Easy whenever we are really busy or when we just want to reconsolidate the lessons that we learned.”
